  • Where are you located? Where do I park?

    We are located in City Center in the heart of Newport News, Virginia.

    Parking is free in City Center. Parking is located both right outside of our storefront and in the various parking garages. Please arrive early to allow time to park and find us!

  • How do I know what type of appointment is for me?

    Please refer to our “About Our Services” tab to read into detail of each of the services we offer.

  • New Client VS. Existing Client

    You are considered a “new client” if it has been 29 or 31 or more days since your last wax with us, the days are depending on if you are a member or not.

    You are considered an “existing client” if it has been 28 or 30 days or less since your last wax with us, the days are depending on if you are a member or not.

    Member-

    New client- 31 or more days | Existing Client- 30 or less days

    Non-Member-

    New client- 29 or more days | Existing Client- 28 or less days

  • Do you offer consultations?

    All consultations take place at the beginning of your scheduled appointment. This is where we discuss your preferences and visuals for your lashes and/or brows! We always aim to meet your expectations so feel free to come with pictures for inspiration. If you are not exactly sure if you want a service done, please contact us before booking to schedule a phone consultation!

  • How do I reschedule an appointment?

    There are many ways to reschedule an appointment with us!

    *Make sure you have a account created through our booking system so you can log in and , manage your appointments, even if you scheduled over the phone or in person you can still create an account and it will link to the account we have created for you in our booking system*

    -Through your original email you received after the appointment was booked

    -Through the confirmation text or email

    -Call us or email us, we honor the time you call or email as we are a small business and can’t always answer right away

    PLEASE NOTE: Responding “R” to the confirmation text message or email does NOT reschedule your appointment for you.

  • What are the cancellation/no show fees for?

    Cancellation & no show fees go directly to the artist to compensate them for their time and lost wages. These fees are non-negotiable.

    Declining, canceling your card on file, or refusing our cancellation fee will result in you being unable to book ANY further appointments at ilash & ibrow bar with ANY of our artists.

  • Can I bring a guest to my appointment?

    Please do not come with any extra guests or kids. Our studio is a quiet and safe place to allow our clients to relax and enjoy.

  • Do I need a patch test?

    Patch test are optional. Very few people have a reaction to our products as we do use very high quality products for each of our services, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be one of them. What one person reacts to, another is fine with. This is why you can opt to have a patch test beforehand. A patch test is quick and simple. We only do patch tests for clients who request them so PLEASE book a patch test separate from booking a lash or brow appointment. This is for anyone who prefers coming in before receiving a service from us to receive a test of the product on their skin or lashes to ensure you are not allergic to our products before committing. *Patch tests are used to prevent allergic reactions, however they are not always 100% accurate and you could still have an allergic reaction after a service if you are truly allergic*

  • Referral Program

    Refer someone for a $$$ towards your next service! Make sure they mention your name in the consent forms.

  • Does it cost to upgrade to another lash set?

    Upgrading to a different set prices for first fill only:

    Natural/Classic to Hybrid- $25

    Natural/Classic to American Volume- $50

    Natural/Classic to London Volume- $75

    Hybrid to American Volume $25

    Hybrid to London Volume- $50

    American Volume to London Volume- $25

    It does not cost to downgrade lash sets but it does take time.

  • What are eyelash extensions?

    The eyelash extensions that our lash artists use are individual eyelashes or fully customized lash fans that are bonded one-by-one to your natural eyelashes. Our lash extensions should not be confused with false eyelashes, pre-made lash fans, or lash clusters that you can purchase at a beauty or department store. Our lash artists customize a lash profile for each and every client, providing the desired volume, length, and look that you desire. The attention to each individual lash makes this the healthiest and best way to achieve your own look, whether you are looking for something natural or more dramatic.

  • What is the difference between classic, hybrid, and volume?

    Classic Lash Extensions are individual eyelashes that are bonded one-by-one to your natural lashes. This lash set is more for an enhanced natural look.

    Hybrid lash extensions are a mix of both classic individual eyelashes and volume handmade lash fans. This last set is perfect for clients looking for a in between natural and dramatic look, just the right amount of fullness.

    Volume Lash Extensions are made when our lash artists create a custom handmade lash fan made from individual lashes, which are then wrapped around your individual natural lashes. This lash set are perfect for clients who are looking for a more dramatic look.

  • How often do I have to get a lash fill?

    Most of our clients see us every 3-4 weeks to get their eyelashes filled in. Eyelashes shed naturally at a rate of about 2 to 5 lashes per day, but every person is different when it comes to lash shedding. There are also two seasons, in the spring and in the fall, where we naturally shed hair at a faster rate. Remember to follow aftercare instructions to maintain retention in between fill time.

  • Do I have to avoid water or oily face products with lash extensions?

    Absolutely not! NovaLash extensions are life friendly allowing you to immediately get your lashes wet and continue to use your face products that include oil all year long! You can go straight to shower, work out, to the sauna, or swimming, etc. right after your appointment!

  • What does the eyelash extensions process entail?

    Our lash artists will always start with a consultation where they will listen to your eyelash goals & expectations. The process for lash extensions begins before your appointment! We suggest avoiding any kind of waterproof mascara and to arrive without any eye make-up on. You will get the best results if our lash artists have a completely clean set of lashes to work on. Most importantly, please inform your lash tech of any known or suspected allergies so we can take appropriate precautions. During your appointment, you will need to keep your eyes closed and remain as still as possible. We expect you to communicate with your lash artist immediately with any discomfort. Many of our clients simply relax and listen to music or podcasts while they get their lashes done.

  • Eyelash Extensions vs. Eyelash Lift/Tint

    Eyelash Extensions are artificial extensions applied to the natural lashes to enhance them in diameter, length, curl, and color. Eyelash lift uses a rod, perm solution, ad tint to alter the shape and color of your natural lashes to make them appear longer and darker.

  • What is a foreign fill?

    A foreign fill is coming in to your fill appointment with lash extensions from any artist outside of ilash & ibrow bar.

    (Please be aware that if you have on extensions applied by an artist outside of ilash & ibrow bar, you must book a foreign fill or a lash removal with a full set of extensions)

  • Full Set VS. Maintenance Fill

    A full set of extensions is for clients who do not already have previously applied extensions on their natural lashes.

    A maintenance fill is when you already have extensions on and need a touch-up.

  • What is a silent appointment?

    Looking to relax and enjoy a conversation-free service? Add this to your appointment so your artist knows you prefer no conversation.

  • What services can I get if I’m pregnant/breastfeeding?

    It is not safe to get a brow tint, brow stain, or a brow lamination while pregnant or breastfeeding. You may still get a brow wax or tweeze.

    Eyelash lift and tints can be done but there is a possibility that the lash lift will not take (rare case scenario). Eyelash Extensions are your safest and best option.
